I grew up hunting and fishing in the area around Hutchinson, Kansas. I learned how to hunt and fish from my father, grandfather and brother. After graduating from college I moved to Dallas working in the produce industry. My love of fishing quickly drew me to Texas lakes and rivers. Before long I was spending my weeks working in Dallas and my weekends fishing on Lake Texoma. I got tried of the corporate world and started working as a fishing guide.

A few years ago I left Dallas and bought a home on the lake. I love living on Lake Texoma with all the wildlife surrounding my home. It’s nice to be within walking distance of the marina. It also helps me to keep tabs on what the fish and birds are doing in the lake.

My other love is boats. I keep three boats at Highport Marina. A 23 ft. Super King Falcon, 1972 25 ft. Trojan and my 15ft. Boston Whaler. The Falcon is my work boat. I’m working on restoring the Trojan cabin cruiser to her original glory. The Whaler serves as my personal fishing and scouting vessel. My many years of boating experience pays off when you fish as much as I do. I try to spend as much time as possible on the water, the rest of my time is just wasted.
